Born in Stamford, CT in 1972.
Nicole Cantore exhibited noticeable creative talent as a very young child.
Her mother, an extremely creative person influenced Nicole and encouraged her to express herself through various creative media, including painting. As a child, Nicole studied painting at the prestigious Silvermine Art Guild and at the Stamford Museum. As she grew older, Nicole's creative interests blossomed as did her creative abilities.
After graduating high school, Nicole enrolled at Syracuse Universty to further her education in art and to learn the rudimentary and creative elements of graphic design. After graduating Syracuse, like many aspiring artists, Nicole became a very successful graphic designer

As she gained an outstanding reputation in the field of graphic design, Nicole turned to painting as a vehicle to express herself and her feelings. There were no limits: abstract paintings on canvas, beautiful silk screens with cultural overtones, tables constructed of hand painted tiles and other objects which Nicole would find in bargain sales, murals and hand painted objects of art.

Collectors were quick to recognize her talent and begin to enthuiastically purchase her works. Eventually, The Genesis Gallery became aware of her work and has now become the exclusive agent of Nicole Cantore. Her first group show was a sell out and a one artist show has been scheduled for the Spring of 2001.

My paintings are windows to my soul. Through my paintings I reflect and express my true feelings - sensual at times as well as rough and dynamic, and tender. A myriad of techniques allows me to communicate that which burns inside. ...
